The sound one era podcast

It had been six years since Sound One closed when I felt a deep need to reunite its community, to let the people who lived it tell their own story of The Sound One Era. It was important to document this history in their voices. the Post New York Alliance agreed and “The Sound One Era” podcast was born.

On that journey, I learned that Ira Speigel and Marlena Grzaslewicz had already begun a documentary on the amazing story of Sound One. They filmed the recording sessions we held for the podcast.

Every year since, I asked Ira about the status of his film. This year, he invited me to join him in bringing his story to life.
